Project Description

Upon completion, learners will realize what it means to be a balanced warrior. Learners will understand the importance of holistic wellness and the detriments to not maintaining balance. Each learner will be provided with tools and skills sets necessary to maintain personal and professional balance. Learners will also find methods to cope with stress and anxiety, ways to avoid substance abuse, techniques to decrease risk factors for depression and other forms of mental illness, in order to maintain a high degree of competency on and off duty. Learners will learn when they need to seek professional assistance. They will know how to seek assistance, ask questions of their healthcare provider, and how to implement the tools and skill sets into their life, to bring about positive change that they can realistically maintain.
