On day 1, Participants will attend a series of presentations relative to contemporary issues in crisis negotiation. On day 2, Negotiation teams will participate in a scena­rio-driven competition. Only 10 teams may register for this competition. Each team is limited to 6 negotiators.

Other negotiators are encouraged to attend the seminar and the challenge for trai­ning and observation purposes. Individuals may register to be placed on an ad-hoc, multiagency team. Judging criteria will be provided to each of the teams prior to the event Early registration is encouraged.

Teams participating in the corn petition must provide at least one judge to a judging pool. Judges must have attended at least a 40-hour basic course and have at least 2 years of negotiation experience. Trophies will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place teams. All participants will receive a certificate of participation. Though we are cap­ ping the competition at 10 teams, individuals are encouraged to sign up, and come to the seminar and the competition as an observer.
