Course: 20 Hacks for Crisis Negotiation Teams
20 Team Hacks for Crisis Negotiation Teams – 4 hours, is a practical presentation to help Crisis Negotiation Teams develop and improve chemistry, skills, and cohesiveness while also improving team standing within the department. These ‘hacks’ represent tried and true methods from experienced crisis negotiation team leaders from throughout the United States.
Team hacks are shortcuts, skills, or novel methods that increase productivity and efficiency for a team. Most of the team hacks in this presentation relate to attracting, retaining, and motivating quality team members, improving how team members relate to one another and increasing the viability and relevance of crisis negotiation in a modern policing environment.
Whether attending as a crisis negotiation team leader or team member, attendees will learn there is much that can be done with little financial investment to create a vibrant and healthy team. Such teams get noticed within their organization, leading to easier recruitment and retention, and often greater support by the community.
This presentation addresses:
Team selection
Components of a team culture
Training and performance standards
